Key encryption algorithms utilized
- ECDH algorithm Curve25519 to do anonymous key agreement.
- EdDSA Signature scheme Ed25519 to do signature verification.
- Xsalsa 20 for symmetric encryption.
Data security protection with Confidant
- Public/Private key pairs are created as soon as the app users create their accounts, only the user’s public key is stored on Confidant Station
- Confidant adopts encryption of the data source, and all encrypted data is stored isolated from the keys.
- All user data is encrypted with key pairs. Only the public keys are stored on the Confidant Station and used for validation of the user identity.
- All data including chats, files and associated user data are stored in the inter-independent database.
